Premium Aramid & Oxidized Fiber Thermal Insulation Layers

Needle punch and spunlace nonwoven fabrics providing superior heat resistance for firefighting suits, PPE, and welding applications

Needle Punch or Spunlace Thermal layer made of aramid or oxidized fibers

KANOX® GORNOX / KANOX® NW / MAZIC® F90SL

Nonwoven Fire Resistant Fabric

The KANOX GORNOX and KANOX F90SL series serve as the middle layer in protective garments or personal protective equipment (PPE). Both series are made from 100% aramid non-woven fabric, which provides excellent thermal insulation.

The KANOX NW series, on the other hand, consists of 100% PAN oxidized felt fabric. Available in weights ranging from 200gsm to 900gsm, these fabrics are ideal for use in welding blankets to prevent or manage fire eruptions. They are also suitable for use as emergency blankets for indoor safety measures.

Application

  • KANOX GORNOX is a lightweight fabric renowned for its excellent heat resistance, making it an ideal thermal layer for firefighting suits.
  • KANOX F90SL is a spunlace nonwoven fabric that achieves a thinner and lighter form while maintaining the same high levels of fire and heat resistance.
  • KANOX NW is composed entirely of oxidized fibers, without any inclusion of fiberglass or asbestos. This fabric is fire resistant and excels in applications such as welding blankets.
