This results in a powerful arc discharge, generating extremely high temperatures, intense radiant heat, and explosive pressure waves. The core temperature of an arc can reach several thousand up to 20,000 °C. The intense heat can cause third-degree or even fourth-degree burns in an instant. The rapid energy release leaves little to no reaction time. In such conditions, conventional flame-resistant gear alone may not provide sufficient protection.
