MAZIC® Fabric Demonstrates Excellent Flame Resistance For Rescue Uniform in Fire Fighting Industry

One of our valued customers in the firefighting industry was in search of a cost-effective yet high-quality fabric for the development of rescue uniforms. They expressed interest in our newly developed MAZIC® fabric and submitted it to a domestic laboratory for the Limited Flame Spread Test in accordance with EN ISO 15025. Unexpectedly, the initial test report showed a failure: the afterflame and afterglow times exceeded two seconds, and hole formation and debris were observed on the sample.

MAZIC® fabrics are engineered to be inherently fire resistant, composed primarily of aramid, modacrylic, and viscose fibers, among other advanced materials. Given our confidence in the product and the positive results from our in-house testing, we sought further validation. With the customer’s consent, we submitted the same fabric sample to a world-renowned independent laboratory for re-evaluation.

The second round of testing yielded outstanding results: no afterflame, no afterglow, no hole formation, and no debris generation. The fabric fully complied with the Limited Flame Spread requirements of EN ISO 11612, the standard for protective garments against heat and flame.
This final report reassured the customer of MAZIC®’s superior performance and led to the successful completion of the order.
